About the Job
CardioOne's newest practice is seeking a highly motivated Patient Access Representative to join our team! You will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the office. You will be operating a multi-line switchboard, directing calls and scheduling patient appointments according to clinic guidelines.
What you’ll do:
Answer 100-150 incoming calls daily.
Accurately schedule appointments and route messages to the correct team.
Ensure proper documentation in the medical record.
Meet performance goals (e.g., 85% calls answered in under 30 seconds, less than 10% abandonment rate).
Perform other related duties as needed to support clinic operations.
What you’ll need:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or medical office certification is a plus
Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting
Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
Experience with a multi-line switchboard preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in using scheduling software, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment
Empathetic and patient-focused approach
Professional appearance and demeanor
Athena experience preferred
Additional Information
Full-time range starting at $17.87 to $22.50 (commensurate with experience) per hour plus medical, dental, and vision benefits. This role will include a matching 401K, 12 days Paid Time Off, and 8 Paid Federal Holidays.
